At JMDS, architecture is a means to induce awe and to provide pause, reflection, and connectivity between people, communities, nature—the built environment. Our projects achieve a cinematic quality where light is harnessed as a medium to let hidden narratives unfold and normative thresholds blur.  Enchantment is found in the ordinary with the aspects of inhabitation unseen and in between. Firmly rooted in research and material innovation, the practice weaves the threads of history, culture, site-specificity to craft meaningful experiences fully embodied in physical space.  JMDS is a multi-disciplinary studio creating unique design solutions for buildings, interiors, public installations, furniture, and lighting.
