Washington Business Group, Washington, DC, US, Senior Project Manager

Working for Washington Business Group as a Project Manager, I was sub-contracted to the General Services Administration as a Project Manager for the Lease Execution team for the Washington Metro Area. Services to the government included budget estimation, project finance review and control, project documentation, A/E and construction bid review, Design project management administration, Construction Administration. Projects for the government ranged from $3M to $30M in cost. I was generally responsible for approximately 350,000 SQFT of project space at any given moment during my tenure at Washington Business Group.

Growing from my role as a job captain at Lehman Architectural Partnership, I transitioned into full project management at LWC. Working directly with the Construction group and the Engineering group, we brought together our disciplines in a cooperative environment which educated all involved. We identified and addressed areas where communication often fails between the fields. This studio environment provided for a higher quality project for our clients. Projects ranged from high end residential, to custom office interiors and religious institutions.

This was my first job in an architectural firm out of college. The firm specialized in big box retail including clients such as Circuit City, Staples, Toys R Us, Babies R Us and more. In addition to my primary role (responsible for the productions and coordination of the construction documents will all disciplines), I was actively involved in all phases of the projects from inception to punch list.
