Terry Thiele received her BFA from James Madison University’s FIDER accredited Interior Design program. Her summer internship was spent working with Gwathmey Siegel Associates Architects in Manhattan. After completing school, she worked as a designer for Michael Graves and Associates before switching her career focus to recruiting.

Terry started Transept Recruiters in 2007 in order to combine her two loves- design and recruiting- and to provide a specialized resource for Architecture firms seeking qualified candidates.

Terry left Transept Recruiters in January, 2012, to join STV Inc, an employee owned 1800 person A/E/C firm in Manhattan as a member of their Talent Acquisition team to help grow the company's Buildings and Facilities practice. She sought architecture, engineering, and construction talent up to the Executive level.

In August, 2015, Terry joined HDR where she is specializing in architectural recruiting in their Alexandria, VA office. She is working across the US architecture offices to bring new talent into the organization. HDR is also an employee owned A/E/C firm with 9600+ total employees in the US and abroad.
