38 West Park

38 West Park is designed to integrate different lifestyles and form a community which allows individuals to adapt and grow with its proposed and existing surroundings. Its towers ranging from 133-263ft. high were designed to house students, navy personnel, and families, in an affordable community that offers spectacular views of the city and the ocean. With its innovative design, the primary objective is to provide a location that will allow individuals to go on with their daily routines, all in one place. On site, there will be access to different places that will meet one’s needs, ranging from housing to offices and hotels.
The community will be composed of inviting restaurants, that will be found on National City Boulevard and 11th Street. A three-story high organic store, will welcome and promote a sustainable, green and healthy environment. The store incorporates a roof garden to its main structure, which allows farmers to harvest and obtain their own food. The natural atrium formed at the center of the site is used as a communal space where gathering can occur. The events can range from farmers markets to multicultural events, which will also showcase its rich Chicano history. The bridge is designed to unify and connect all the towers and form an environment where individuals can converse and interact with one another.
The West Park’s community is composed of four main towers, a podium as a base, and a three-story high grocery store. Other amenities include and are not limited to a spacious gym, multipurpose offices, luxury hotel living, a refreshing pool and spa, among others. Its existing natural surroundings play a significant role to its design and location. This luxury is not only designed to lure in National City’s current residents, but is also made open to the public.
