Gigi IJdo is an Urban and Landscape Designer. From an early age my passion is to communicate, style and solve problems through images. I am a very creative and motivated person and I am working daily to convey ideas by making books, photographs, brochures, presentations, sketches, and other resources. I gained work experience during  an international internship at an architectural firm A. Asenjo y Asociados and  I am currently working as an Urban Planner at Municipality Vlaardingen. By the combination of landscape and urban design I answer design solutions on various scales: from gardens, buildings, streets, districts, city’s till national landscapes.

With a lot of creativity, innovation and enterprising I am following the latest trends in related fields and am working on various courses and projects outside school and the Municipality.  I am communicative and like to make contact with various parties to find a solution. As an example I cooperated with consulting firm STIPO, residents, housing corporations and the Municipality Crooswijk to solve problems like waste and safety of a rundown courtyard in Rotterdam. It gives me satisfaction to see that there is now an incredible courtyard where residents drink their coffee together. The residents are proud of the draft prepared by them, which I had a guiding role.
