We strive to fix the common "everyday office", and we found no other client that would benefit from this greatly then the NY Department of Transportation. As this is the department that quite literally keeps NYC moving and alive. We want to push back the old, dull and uninspiring past of work spaces. Where individuality is lost and productivity is greatly reduced. This new design should embrace the change we see in office spaces. Our new approach will introduce open and collaborative spaces. With the use of Atrium, green spaces, and a new informative museum about the unique history of NY Department of Transportation. Where we not only provide a unique headquarters in the heart of Chelsea. But also a new functional attraction for the city. Where this new building becomes a collaborative and informative space. We do not wish to design just another "office building" far from it. We want to create a space where not only employees flourish, but as a space that is open to all and welcomes you to sit, relax and explore.

Our firm also strives to capture the beautiful neighborhood of Chelsea. We want our buildings to path the beautiful little island and the historical Chelsea Market. The new headquarters should act as pre pre-existing member of the neighborhood, not just an addition. Bridging all that Chelsea has to offer. Allowing multiple entrances and paths to stimulate all the unique backgrounds we come from. It is also crucial that this building is. not only environmentally sustainable. But it is environmentally beneficial. It should try to give back more than we take. It's no longer enough to be net zero. We should strive for greater things. Not only will this way of thinking benefit the environment. But it will also be an advantage to the employees. By taking individual micro-climates and ensuring that each individual space provides a function. We will increase productivity. Lastly, health is of great importance to our firm. We must allow this building to act as a shelter from urban heat. Make it a space that allows individuals to take refuge from the hellish NYC summers. By adding shaded spaces and increased vegetation. We must also reconsider how we design office space in the age of covid. Allowing the classic group collaboration that offices offer without risking one's health.
