In our initial proposal for the ‘museum’ we took slightly a different path; instead of a conventional understanding of a museum space for exhibiting ancient objects, we added leisure activities to the program.
Performing both as a museum and an entertainment centre, we included alternative spaces such as, playgrounds, roof beach, diving cells, and under water elevators, to the main function of the complex as Museum for underwater antiques with open-spaces showrooms.
In our proposal, the historic industrial characteristic of the building has been kept untouched and even fully emphasized. However there are minor changes such as the openings in lower stories and growing elevators on roof .
