As a graduate from NJIT with a Bachelors of Architecture, I am seeking a position where I can apply my drafting and design skills and engage in challenging projects. Most recently, I worked for Design Resources Group Architects AIA, a consulting firm that works mainly with the School Construction Authority. While there, I moved from my initial intern position to BIM Specialist and Project Administration. At Nelson Benavides we consulted Dixon Projects, Developer Company who mostly does brownstone renovations. We worked on projects from construction schematic drawings to construction set with electrical, plumbing and zoning. I Worked independently on all the projects from start to finish with helped greatly with my NCARB hours.
At NJIT and through my professional experiences, I have developed strong skills in architectural design, drawing (AutoCAD, Adobe Master Suite), and proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhino, Revit, Digital Projects and Sketch up) and computer rendering-animation (3D max, V-Ray).
I value experiences where I can engage with a team and develop something helpful for a community. In the past, I’ve served as president of NJIT’s Persian Cultural Society, coached children in various soccer clubs and worked as a counselor helping Children with Muscular dystrophy. Helping local community gave me a different perspective on life and helped me as well to connect to others in a different and humble way. It also helped me to increase my social and relationship skills with people and have a sense of purpose.
Best regards,
Sean Esrafily
