My name is Erick, I was born in Los Angeles. Throughout my architectural career, I have had the privilege of working on projects of varying scales both domestically and internationally. I have held positions ranging from junior to senior designer. My technical expertise extends to advanced proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite, enabling me to translate design concepts and documentation efficiently. Furthermore, my leadership and communication skills have been instrumental in fostering collaborative environments.
My most recent role as Job Captain at House and Robertson Architects provided me with valuable experience in managing the production of construction document sets compliant with California Building Codes, enhancing my technical skills in the capacity of Architect of Record. I honed my skills in coordination with consultants across disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of structural, MEP, and interior design elements.
Additionally, my previous job in Guerin Glass Architects offered exposure to high-profile hospitality projects and master plans, including those affiliated with the Four Seasons brand. I took charge of delivering top-tier design development and client presentations, demonstrating my proficiency in leading Revit modeling standards and guiding massing studies and material selections, coordinated with principals and project managers.
In my portfolio, I showcase a diverse array of projects spanning office buildings, residential developments, mixed-use spaces, and interior designs. For each project type, I detail my achievements and responsibilities, having been involved from schematic design to construction documentation phase in every endeavor. The portfolio follows a structured approach, starting from initial design stages through to completion, accompanied by informative descriptions and visual references, including renderings. All project drawings, graphics, and renderings featured in my portfolio were personally developed by me in collaboration with various project managers and consultants. Furthermore, the last part of my portfolio provides insight into my creative process through personal sketches, illustrating how I conceptualize and ideate. Lastly, I include a selection of architectural photography—a hobby that allows me to practice composition and color which grants me the opportunity to document various buildings, enriching my understanding of architectural design.
Thank you for considering my application. I am excited about the opportunity to further discuss how my experiences and skills can contribute to the continued success of your firm. Please find my portfolio attached for your review. I look forward to the possibility of discussing this exciting opportunity with you. (I’m an American citizen, I will not require any type of sponsorship now or in the future).
Warm regards.
