About

Architectural design has always been a deep interest of mine. In my years of college I have keenly developed my design and representation skills to be used in a professional practice setting.

I am a graduated student of architecture from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California. I have studied abroad in Spain and worked on numerous projects that involved urban design and planning both there and here in the United States.

Education

NewSchool of Architecture & Design, San Diego, CA, US, Bachelors, Architecture

The NewSchool of Architecture and Design is a practice-based school aimed at preparing its students for what conditions they may face in their future professions. While theory still formed a solid foundation of my studies, the majority of my experiences at NewSchool were focused on evidence-based design decisions.

Bakersfield College, Bakersfield, Architectural Drafting

At Bakersfield College I developed my skills as a draftsperson with classes that focused on hand and computer-aided drafting. It was here that I learned the fundamental aspects that go into the architectural profession. Beginning architectural drawing classes developed my skills in graphic representation in both hand-drawn and digital media.

In my second year of study, I took on more architecturally-based projects, from small residential to monumental public spaces. This was the beginning of my exposure to studio culture, which I would later continue at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design.
