I have worked at Design Firms in both residential [from small bungalow renovations to multi-million dollar new construction] + commercial [from local tenant improvements to large scale full-gut remodeling to multi-million dollar mixed used buildings in Dubai + Korea] design. This has taken me from St. Louis to Chicago to Tokyo to Los Angeles and currently to Utah where I have spent the last few years running my Design Studio locally.
I am looking to step back from my business and join a studio! While I have loved my time as an entrepreneur, I really miss being on a team and I really love the collaboration that happens in design when it's a group effort. Gathering multiple perspectives on a design problem and then creating a solution for the client ... that's what I love about our industry!
