The renovation of a ground floor space in an Emery Roth & Sons 1951 building creates a new 4000 square foot Early childhood Center for ages 0 through 6 years on Fifth Avenue near Washington Square Park. The entrance on the Avenue leading into the main lobby includes an office and a large multipurpose room with a movable wall that allow for larger group functions. Six classrooms of which two are nurseries, are arranged around the central multipurpose space. The classrooms are flooded with daylight from the advantage of the schools corner location The staff and support spaces are also placed within sight of halls and classrooms. The bright, creative and collaborative spaces are a compliment to the park a few steps away.
