Azadi Stadium is a soccer stadium with the capacity of 100,00 spectators in Tehran, Iran. The project was to design a retractable roof for this existing stadium. The main challenge of this project was to minimize the structural tensions and optimize the dimensions of structural members. I used Grasshopper and Galapagos, a plug in for Grasshopper, for optimization.
