This Project is my Master´s Thesis Project.
Being born from the reflection that Leisure is an intrinsic and
essential element of the human being that affects all areas of our
lives. In this project I have exposed the importance of the role of
satisfactory experiences that take place within leisure programs, not
only as a consequence of the program but as elements of social and
spatial regeneration. Leading to the concept of “VALUABLE LEISURE”,
the backbone of the entire project, which can be translated into
space terms as MULTIFUNCTIONALITY and INTEGRAL VALUE.
Located in the suburbs of Madrid City (Spain) as a part of the
Urbanistic Project, on a large scale, the Urbanistic Project is framed
within the action of the BOSQUE METROPOLITANO which, together
with the green pre-existence of the city, generates a ring of green
continuity. This ring is continued by our action as a PERIMETER PARK
FOR URBAN CENTERS and the arc of agricultural production spaces
that, annexed to the metropolitan forest, generate a sub-ring of
green continuity in the south of Madrid.
This Perimeter Park boost the value of the “empty “green spaces and
the rich diversity of the limits of the Rural with the Urban, diluting
the limit, protecting the green areas and its continuity and controlling
the city growth.
Re-Creation locates in the Industrial park of Alcorcón (Spain) enrolled
in a decadent industrial context Re-Creation benefits form the
industrial language with a tall ceiling height and wide pillar distance
that allows to “prepare the ground” for anything that could possibly
happen inside in terms of program, as Leisure programs can quickly
swift and adapt through time, allowing the project to develop its
flexibility and multifunctionality and giving it the change to grow
according to it success. 

Re-Creation is built on three key concepts resulting from the concept
of valuable leisure
Re-cycle: A place to take shelter, share your experiences and
transform them into something positive.
Re-Create: A place to express yourself, create and have fun.
Re-From: A place to strengthen and train yourself to export and
better serve the city with the benefits acquired.
From the outside and in the distance, Re-Creation is an integral entity
marked in an industrial context with a powerful structure of clear
lines, but when you get closer and you go inside it explodes as the
scale of the pieces is distorted, deconstructing the space, allow the
user to reconstruct it through program activities and the bustle of its
interior. All embraced in a welcoming Pink Fun-loving aura.
For now, as Re-Creation is prepared to grow, the building it´s form of
two main bodies: the lower body, with a naked structure designed to
respond to the needs of the Program with a lower number of pillars
hindered on the ground floor, that continues the perimeter park
sport equipment, bifurcating the pillars to support the upper body
with greater load. This upper body surpasses the Industrial Park
height as it presents itself as a main meeting point of the City. With
an ETFE casing materiality, a plastic 10 times lighter than glass that
allows great freedom of shapes and different opacity and
transparency gradients as well as good climatic qualities, that acts as
a Creativity cocoon for the levels intended entirely for valuable
leisure, that partially reveals from the outside what happens inside
but assures the connection with the outside from the interior. From
the outside The triangulated geometry of the façade is the
culmination of the bifurcation of the pillars that give “free rein to its
creativity”. By recovering the orthogonal language of the plans with
