Small and private schools are succeeding by focusing their facility capital improvements in STEM and STREAM based initiatives. St. Bede School in Pittsburgh’s East End advanced their curriculum with the design for new STREAM classrooms to provide modern learning spaces to advance a STREAM educational initiative.
Included in the design is a new science lab, art lab, project center, and a research lab with an integrated ‘explore capsule’ for small group projects. Each area is designed as flexible space with configurable desks to promote small group and team learning. Each area has an abundance of storage and shelf space.
St. Bede School has partnered with the Carnegie Science Center to enhance the school’s STREAM curriculum.
