About

I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to exhibit my diverse design skills and deep appreciation for architectural aesthetics. My journey in architecture is heavily influenced by a rich tapestry of artists and mediums, shaping my unique design philosophy.

Rene Magritte's surreal manipulation of perspective and light, along with Edward Hopper's framed scenes, have significantly influenced my understanding of space and emotion in architecture. The emotional depth in street photography by Garry Winograd and Robert Frank, akin to Hopper's work, has also been a key influence. Additionally, Michelangelo's poetic approach in the Laurentian Library, blending materials and forms with Vitruvian principles, has deeply impacted my architectural mindset.

My education at SCIARC was further enhanced by the design philosophies of architects like Ray Kappe, whose focus on space, materiality, and integration with surroundings left a lasting impression on me. Many significant eclectic influences like Sullivan, Wright, Scarpa, Hejduk, Lautner, Ray, and Gehry have impacted my journey.

My professional experience with Frank Gehry allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the design process, working on diverse projects from the Guggenheim in Abu Dhabi to multifaceted commercial developments.

Post Gehry Partners, I delved into artistic exploration, traveling and engaging in photography, woodworking, music, mechanics, and manufacturing. These experiences have enriched my ambition to fuse my artistic passions with my architectural career.

I've applied these influences in various professional settings, from designing multi-family housing projects at Office Untitled to technical and design roles at Balian Architects, where my projects included the innovative Streetcar Housing in Los Angeles.

My strengths are in navigating between analog and digital mediums, appreciating the nuances of space, and delivering projects with precision.
