After Images questions the contemporary status of the image in
architecture. Images permeate our daily interactions, whether
mundane or extraordinary, and our engagement with and through
them exerts unprecedented pressure on architecture’s historical
identity as the locus of the real. The stability and immutability of
Vitruvian firmitas has effervesced into innumerous bits of data that
congeal in myriad forms to comprise, describe and construct
various aspects of our environment.
