While working for Efrain I was responsible for the oversight of the latter stages of our galleries renovation, the maintenance and repair of gallery spaces, the coordination of installation and deinstallation and contributing to the overall layout of works in space as well as the design of vitrines, frames and wall labels.
The Athenaeum of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA, US, Charles E. Peterson Curatorial Assistant and Exhibition Designer
While at the Athenaeum if was given the opportunity to curate, design and fabricate the Editorial Exhibition "Flight & Shadow: The Work of Mellor, Meigs & Howe." A key factor in the design of that exhibition was the galleries placement on the 2nd floor of the building, with the staircase removed from the front entrance making the gallery not immediately visible from the street. To draw people into, through and up the staircase and into the gallery, I designed a hanging installation from the central chandelier which attracted people to the center of the building and encouraged they ascent up to the remainder of the show. It was the first time in 140 years that an installation was made in the quadruple-high staircase.
