GRAY SPACE ARCHITECTURE, NEW YORK, INETRIOR DESIGNER PROJECT LEAD
Drafting: existing conditions, prebuilds, test fits, rental and marketing plans, D1, D2, etc., CDs with oversight, calculating usable/rentable SF, site surveys, and peer reviews.
• Construction: review submittals, answer RFIs, onsite supervision, filing coordination, communicate on design needs, manage up to lead, punch list.
• Develop an understanding of what should be included in a client presentation based on the meeting agenda.
• Prepare design presentation documents, renderings, and materials.
• Implement design direction based on leadership feedback.
• Oversee junior staff members and coordinate their activities.
• Review the work produced by other staff and provide corrections and guidance.
• Manage one or more projects simultaneously. Nearly flawless drafting leads to the development of several CDs being drafted by project managers and associates.
• Communication lead with clients, full redline reviews of CDs.
• Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and third-party consultants.
• Manage up to the Senior project lead/Principal on the project stack and provide a suggested solution for issues that arise.
• Coordinate with Senior Project Lead on work effort proposals and fees.
• Update status report on a project stack.
• Facilitate project notification and project number for project stack.
• Produce designs and specifications for projects that meet or exceed Company standards.
• Conduct regular research and training into the use of new materials, methods, and disciplines to help develop the firm’s practice.
• Learn and master new software and technologies.
• Utilize AutoCAD and SketchUp to complete sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models of architectural and interior designs, from design concept to execution.
