Do you have an exterior balcony or overlook in your residential or commercial space? Include that exterior space into your next design! Tie in your interior decor with your exterior spaces by keeping these design details in mind.

When installing railings to an exterior space, the type of materials you choose should be designed to withstand outdoor elements. Stainless steel in 316 Grade is preferred for outdoor use due to its greater resistance to corrosion than other grades of steel. When looking to install stainless steel railings to your exterior space, be sure to use 316 grade stainless steel.

If you are looking to install glass railings onto your exterior balcony, laminated glass is recommended. In the event where the glass is shattered, laminated glass would hold in place by an inter-layer between two layers of glass. When installing laminated glass to your exterior railings, a stainless steel cap rail is usually top mounted to the glass panels for added rigidity. To anchor the laminated glass panels, we utilized a top mounted aluminum base shoe which was then covered with a 316 grade brushed stainless steel cladding.
