Established in 2001 by partners Bruno Campos,  Marcelo Fontes and Silvio Todeschi, BCMF Architects has been involved in the development of a broad range of outstanding projects, being  acknowledged in Brazil and abroad as one of the leading practices of the new generation of Brazilian architects. The studio seeks to be highly  diversified in terms of scale and typology, ranging from interior design (corporate and retail) to large-scale projects (sports facilities, mixed-use, mobility, health-care, industries, parks and urban masterplans).

Among the main projects of the studio, the Deodoro Sports Complex (National  Shooting, Equestrian, Field Hockey and Modern Pentathlon venues), built  for the Rio 2007 Pan American Games and for the 2016 Olympics, has  received high international recognition, triggering unique work  opportunities in the sports field for the practice.

In 2009 BCMF Arquitetos was selected by the COB (Brazilian Organizing  Committee) to develop most of the concept studies for the winning Rio 2016 Olympic Games Candidature, when Rio was competing against Chicago, Madrid, and Tokyo. The Dossier of the Brazilian candidature was marked by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) as the one with the  “highest quality” among the four competing cities. In 2010 the studio was commissioned by the Minas Arena Consortium to carry out the renovation of the legendary Mineirão Stadium, in Belo  Horizonte, one of the selected venues for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the first soccer stadium in the world to receive LEED Platinum certification. BCMF is the first Brazilian architectural practice to participate in the  planning of all three mega events. In 2016 BCMF designed the new GOOGLE Headquarters in Belo Horizonte, MG  (with Hardy Design, MACh and Atiaia) and in 2018 GOOGLE's Event Space in São Paulo.

BCMF Arquitetos was listed by FAST COMPANY as one of the top ten most innovative companies in South America, and its work has been widely exhibited and
published in Brazil and abroad.
