Auburn University Rural Studio, Newbern, AL, US, Design Architect
This 1+ year design build project with Auburn’s Rural Studio focused on the research, design and construction of the 23rd version of the famous 20K house. With the collaboration with three determined members, we were able to offer a versatile house to a family from an under-resourced community. I was tasked with creating a balance between a tight budget and an accessible, durable, sustainable and flexible design. I maintained relations with our clients while also negotiating, inspiring and executing the on and off site construction processes and requirements in a region with limited resources and accessibility.
