About

My goal as a designer is to create spaces that make an impact. Through my educational and professional experience I have worked to create a sense of wonder and spark intrigue through my designs. Through each new endeavor I have discovered solutions to environmental, societal, and spatial issues. I believe that my collaborative experience, communication skills, creativity and interest in designing with human needs at the forefront of thought makes me an ideal team member.

Before beginning my education at the University of Texas I was able to expand my knowledge of design creating public and digital art as a Color Squad intern at Creative Action. This internship allowed me the opportunity to employ my artistic abilities to create work focused on themes of inclusivity and diversity to represent and bring together Austin communities. We collaborated with an organization that helped create opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution, working directly with refugee teens in the Austin area to produce work that sparked a sense of togetherness, provided informational resources, and encompassed each of our unique perspectives on home. In the UTSOA program designing environmentally conscious, human-centered, and experiential spaces has become a common thread through my work. I was given the resources to design spaces that produce innovative solutions to modern issues. Creating sustainable, hurricane-relief, low-income, and high-density housing demonstrates my ability to provide a creative approach to problem-solving. My time as an intern at J. Fisher Interiors allowed me to bring my knowledge and expertise into a professional setting and learn with experience. My responsibilities in this position included revising budgets and floor plans, digitally modeling interiors, creating presentations and shopping for clients. I was able to gain first hand experience working on projects in various stages of the design process; working both on site and in the office.

I value honesty, inclusivity, and teamwork in the work environment, and I hope to bring positivity and creativity to any team I am a part of.
