A Streamlined Acoustic Panel System to bring a rustic feel to Boccaccio Cellars, a deli store and wine cellar in Melbourne, Australia.
This classy Italian deli and wine cellar wanted to update an older building into a rejuvenated boutique business that oozed substance and history. The typical grocery store has wildly open building designs which make it easy for the sound to build up and be noisy when there is abundant store traffic.
Boccaccio Cellars wanted to push the envelope and make an acoustically warm and welcoming shopping environment where customers can feel at ease when looking for their selection. It was vital that the store was unlike any other around with a balanced atmosphere with acoustic absorption. This architectural project was imperative to balance the atmosphere and set Boccaccio Cellars apart as a boutique Mediterranean deli and liquor merchant.
This project's main attraction on our part were the polished concrete, metal shelving, glass fridges and freezers. We could complete this project partnering with Peter Harvey and Co to help collaborate premium market ambience. The Au.diSlat was the main attraction for this project which creates an unique effect on any building in which it is installed. There are many different finishes that can be achieved, and in this case, the Au.diImage was used. This is an advanced option in the field of interior surfaces that reproduces the texture and visual appearance of its expensive natural counterparts. This decorative surface membrane is factory applied under controlled conditions to the visible face and profiled edges of the panel creating a prestigious, durable, pre-finished panel that is ideally suited to wall and ceiling linings, perforated and slotted acoustic panels, curved panels, and joinery compounds.
