I am a first-year student currently enrolled in the M.Arch 2 graduate program at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), writing to apply for your summer internship position. Prior to joining SCI-Arc, I have completed my 5-year undergraduate Bachelor's of Architecture degree from Anna University, Chennai and I am a licensed architect in India. I have worked and interned in several architectural firms and won an international pavilion design competition during my undergraduate degree helping me to gain a holistic understanding of the architectural field.
Outside the field of architecture, I have worked along NGOs to build low-cost housing and ancient temple restorations. I see my time at SCI-Arc as the ideal opportunity to expand my architectural capabilities and develop new skillsets for my career as a passionate individual who is grateful for the opportunity to influence the built environment.
