Architect, Researcher and Urban Designer with a focus on bottom up practices to derive design process.
Trained as an architect from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, I hold 2 years of experience of working in the field. I am a recipient of Fulbright Scholarship through which I completed my master of Urban Design from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), PA, USA. During my time at CMU I have performed exceptionally and successfully defended my final year thesis titled; "Mobilizing an Informed Return; From Rehabilitation to Recovery" that investigated the condition of tent cities established by government authorities in the remote areas of Sindh province, Pakistan during the catastrophic flooding of 2022 and proposed implementable design and management solutions.
As a strong advocate of participatory Design, Community Engagement and Commoning Practices, I believe in the power of community in deriving change and role of a good design in making it possible.
