António Pedro Faria has a Master degree in Architecture from Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. In 2017 he makes in co-authorship with the architects LACATON & VASSAL the “Invited International Competition for the Rehabilitation of Portugalia’s Block” and the “Competition for the Rehabilitation of the Lycee Français Charles Lepierre”, also in co-authorship with the architects LACATON & VASSAL and Nuno Valentim.
Member of the Portuguese Architects Association (no24581), made an internship at LACATON&VASSAL, in Paris (2016) and ATELIERMOB, in Lisbon (2016-2017). He worked in ATELIERDATA, in Lisbon (2017-1019). In 2019 he won a Scholarship for outstanding application to participate in the international workshop “Creating Homes for Tomorrow”, organized by Canactions School and held in Amsterdam, Zurich, Helsinki and Kiev.
In 2016, gets the 2nd place for a ideas competition to the reabilitation of an housing complex in the historical centre of Braga (Portugal). Before that period, he worked for Lisbon Architecture Trienalle and the Portuguese Directorate General of Arts as a copy-editor for the Oficial Portuguese Representation at Venice Architecture Biennale 2014, with the name :”Homeland: news from Portugal”. He ended his master studies, finishing his master thesis under the name: “Porto, S. Victor area. City | Architecture | Politics. reality and draw”, with the highest score.
