A Security Screening for the Contemporary Airport: Dyscontrolpia

This project offers a new perspective and architectural mechanism to detect potential criminals, from waiting areas fitted with facial recognition cameras, to mirrored screens for allowing security officers to monitor passengers' behavior while remaining undetected by the passengers. In essence, rather than focusing on just one point of security, this project is a whole new environment designed to aid in the detection of potential criminals.

Introducing a checkpoint as a unique opportunity to apprehend and arrest potential felons who are often unapproachable due to their high-class status, this project creates a dystopian scenario that studies the extremes of contemporary society. Security screening can have a strong psychological impact on certain people. The project takes advantage of this situation and is able to track potential felons from the waiting area, during and after the screening.
