Celanese House

Renovation and restoration of the Celanese House, originally
designed by architect Edward Durrell Stone and documented in
1963 as one of New Canaan’s historic modern homes. The
house was commissioned by the Celanese Corporation of
America, a leading chemical manufacturer in the US, to
showcase the company’s various products during their 1959
promotional program titled "The American Idea."
