Alexandra is a Colombian-American Architect and urban designer. She is the President and Co-Founder of Hive Public Space, a Women-led urban design and placemaking consultancy based in New York City. Their goal is to design resilient public spaces that are socially and culturally inclusive environments.
Her multidisciplinary approach borrows ideas from her education in Fine Arts, Architecture and Urban Design with a strong focus on design justice and participatory processes that move from extractive data collection exercises and aim to establish meaningful lasting connections. She is the Design Fellow at the Design Trust for Public Spaces and core-organizer for Design as Protest.
