ATI designed this new 900 Student Junior High School on the historic Martin Luther King, Jr., Elementary School Site. The project involved the razing of the existing school and design, approval and construction of the new school all within 13 months. To accommodate the aggressive schedule requirements, ATI was hired with Webcor Builders under a design-build contract. To further accomplish the aggressive construction schedule, the School District took advantage of ATI’s DSA preapproved two-story classroom buildings plus the reuse design of a band building, cafeteria, and gymnasium. Designed to meet CHPS basic criteria 26 points and submitted for High Performance Incentive Grants.
