Set against formidable climatic conditions, the material palette echoes the backdrop of industrial mining and woodlands in northern Minnesota. An upper recessed clerestory window empties light into the primary interior volume, while providing passive solar heating through most of the winter months and shade during the summer heat. Patients to this clinic are afforded views to the forest beyond.
