thought it'd be interesting to start a thread (based on libraries, pavilions, etc) for small obscure projects: pavilions, bathing facilities, rest stops, kiosks, bus stops... trying to avoid the better known projects (so the EXPO & serpentine are right out)
the smaller the better! (and i don't mean file size)

Over at Architect Aaron Betsky writes "It is the small projects that give me hope...Such projects seem to be especially prevalent in China...Other examples are popping up in Vietnam, Thailand, India, Brazil, and several countries in Africa...the fact that so much of this work is taking place in villages, rural areas, and countries where architecture can make a substantial difference could also make us think that the discipline could have a new focus: not the building of the new, the big, and the urban, but the making of the small and the focused—the architecture that responds to the evolving reality of rural and ex-urban areas."
