The School of Architecture, in the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts, at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor (with an initial term of one to three years, part-time and full-time), to teach design studios, lecture courses, and seminars at the graduate and undergraduate level. All appointments will begin in August 2014 or later.
In addition to a successful record of studio instruction, the candidate must identify experience and accomplishment in the area of digital and building technologies. Candidates for all positions must have a terminal professional degree in architecture and a minimum of three years teaching experience. Professional registration and/or a PhD preferred.
The School of Architecture offers five degree programs: a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies; a professional, NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture; a post-professional Master of Science in Architecture; and a Master of Arts in Design Criticism.
