Perez Architecture seeks an architect or intern-architect to assist New York City in its recovery from Hurricane Sandy. This presents an extraordinary opportunity for a creative, pragmatic, experienced individual to play a major role over the next two years improving the lives of thousands of New Yorkers.

Perez is under contract with the New York City Build it Back program, whose mission is to restore homes owned by lower-income households to full functionality and greater resilience to extreme climate conditions. Several thousand one- to four-unit homes will be rehabilitated and strengthened. Of those, approximately one-third will be elevated so that living areas and essential building systems are protected from future floods.
