Jeffrey Beers International is an award-winning hospitality design firm based in New York. Hiring a Senior Designer with a minimum of 15 years’ experience working on hospitality interiors in the domestic and international markets. The position requires an innovative, creative thinker with the ability to articulate and present ideas. The applicant must exhibit a strong design vocabulary, as well as the ability to contribute to a focused creative process to develop inspired design solutions.  All candidates must have well-rounded experience in architecture, with particular focus on interior design and programming.  Strong graphic and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment, are also critical.

Responsibilities/Skills/Qualities:

  • Strong design knowledge and sensibility.
  • Strong concepting skills to develop initial design direction for projects.
  • Create floor plans, elevations and three dimensional spaces to realize the design direction.
  • Develop design schemes, presentation boards, and budgets.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to direct other JBI team members.  Communicate conclusions and next steps from design coordination, progress meetings, and client meetings to project team.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to participate in client and team meetings.
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a design team.
  • Exemplary management skills including organization, prioritization, and trouble-shooting.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop.
  • Experience with presentation and design software such as PowerPoint, SketchUp and 3D modeling preferred, but not required.
