wHY began as wHY Architecture in 2004. Today, wHY engages in projects involving buildings, objects, grounds, and ideas with a team of more than 30 architects, landscape architects, and creative thinkers in Los Angeles, New York and Louisville.

Finding new perspectives, challenging assumptions, discovering new efficiencies, understanding relationships, bringing people together, and giving them room to grow characterizes our work. Each project engages a broad range of consultants, from engineers and botanists, to curators and economists, to execute with the highest degree of innovation, quality and intelligence.

We presently have positions open for project managers on several important cultural and high end residential projects.  Candidates should be able to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited Masters or Bachelor of Architecture degree program
  • 5-8 years’ working experience
  • Heavy experience in working with clients and being the day-to-day contact
  • Proven management of cultural and/or high end residential projects, including schedules and budgets
  • Manage adherence to office standards of design, quality control, and production
  • Facilitate consultant coordination and direction
  • Oversee the production of design documents
  • Responsible for managing team resources; advises Director(s) of resource and schedule needs.
  • Strong organizational, communication and coordination skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve in fast-paced environment
  • Adept at Auto-CAD, Adobe CS suite, MS Office suite (including MS Project)
  • Knowledge of Revit a plus.

Salary and benefits are commensurate with ability and experience.

This is a full time position in our Los Angeles Office.
