PURE is a dynamic practice to explore progressive architectural and urban design in China. It was founded in Los Angeles, California in 2002. In 2007, PURE’s China branch was established in Shanghai. In 2013, we set up a new studio focused on the fast growing senior living community development in China.

PURE has won numerous international design competitions, including Beijing Eco Valley, Shanghai Cultural Park, Kunming Jinshan Health and Cultural Park, Forest Creek Art Community, Star Bay Resort, Kunshan East Town Urban Design, Shenzhen Universiade Cultural Park and etc. PURE’s work has been exhibited internationally, including the past three UCLA Selected Alumni Exhibitions, the 2007 Get It Louder Exhibition, the 2007 and 2011 Shenzhen and HongKong Architecture and Urbanism Biennale, the 2008 Beijing Architecture Biennale, and the 2013 Shanghai West Bank Architecture and Contemporary Art Biennale. In 2009 and 2012,PURE was selected as one of the top 48 Chinese contemporary architectural design firms in the publication of Building China.

We are seeking experienced architects in our Shanghai office. He or she will work on large scale senior living community projects in different phases across China while having the opportunities to experience the charming urban lives of Shanghai in person.

Project Architects (Senior Living Community Projects):

Candidates should hold Bachelor of Architecture degree or above, be fluent in English (Mandarin is a plus), possess high design sensibility, and strong presentation skills, well developed organization and time management skills, capable of leading a team to excel in fast-paced environments and under pressure. Multiple year working experiences on residential, senior housing or healthcare projects preferred.
