Position Summary
As an interior designer / space planner, you will be integral to the team, reporting to the client manager and ultimately to the owners of the firm.  You will work closely with the client manager to develop and maintain existing and new client relationships.  The work will include a variety of tasks including programming, space planning, test fits, construction documents for varying size interior fit out renovations.  Direct client contact, managing work flow, and responsiveness are key to the position and to maintaining our on-going clients.  This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual with a "can do" attitude. 

Responsibilities

  • Representation at client meetings including but not limited to project scoping sessions, program generation and review, test fit and design review, limited construction administration, and move management sessions.
  • Manage a variety of fast paced interior projects for our enjoyable, yet demanding, clients
  • Direct, day to day, point of contact with client's project managers
  • Some Experience in early phase scoping of a project with a client, fee and proposal writing
  • Responsive to the daily, sometimes hourly, needs of the client
  • Generate programming documents, test fit and space plans, and scoping documents
  • Management and motivation of production team
  • Hands on approach, and ability to jump in to produce construction drawings if required
  • Technically savvy, use of software programs (Revit, Autocad, MSOffice, Newforma)
  • Maintain and expand our solid client relationships, ability to build new client relationships

Skills

  •  Four-year Degree plus 5 years minimum corporate experience
  •  Software Skills desired: MS Office, Autocad, Revit, Excel, Newforma
