WHO WE ARE

Bestor Architecture has redefined Los Angeles architecture through a practice that engages with the city’s design, art, and urbanism. The firm explores architectural form through experimental spatial arrangements, graphics, and color, evident in projects ranging from custom residences to international corporate headquarters. Founded by Barbara Bestor, FAIA, in 1995, the firm has completed a number of award-winning projects, including headquarters for Beats by Dre and Nasty Gal, Blackbirds (a groundbreaking typology for dense housing in Echo Park), and a variety of experimental residences and commercial spaces. The practice’s creative and aesthetically progressive body of work pushes architecture into the realm of atmospheric urbanism.
