J Frankl Architects (JFA) is a contemporary design firm located at 16 Court Street in Downtown Brooklyn. JFA specializes in new construction of Residential, Commercial and Mixed-use buildings. We are currently seeking a full-time Architectural Project Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

*The Project Manager will work in a team overseeing project design, drawing set production & coordination, construction & project administration, while mentoring junior staff and reporting to senior management. 

*Proficient in reviewing DOB objections and ensuring Building Code compliance, the client’s preferences, and design intent.

*Excellent drafting skills. Must be able to balance drafting, project management and coordination.

*Manage consultants on building projects including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, expeditors, lighting, and acoustical consultants.

*Excellent communication and organizational skills, ensuring project correspondence is documented, and preparing meeting agendas and meeting minutes.

*Perform Quality Control (QC) reviews of drawing sets.

*Proficient in Construction Administration and documentation, such as RFIs, ASIs, submittal of drawing reviews, and familiarity with CSI Divisions.

*Experience with AIA Contracts and Project Schedules.

*Support senior management, COO and the Principal to assure client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

*Bachelor of Architecture required; Masters Preferred. 4-year Bachelor of Architectural Science may be considered. 

*3-6 years architectural work experience, minimum 2 years in Project Coordination, or Management.

*Excellent Revit skills

*Proficient in CADD, InDesign, Photoshop, and 3D computer modeling software.

*Complex problem solving and decision-making skills.

*Ability to work independently and in a team.

*Flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment.

*Proficiency in NYC building code, NYC Energy Code, NYC Zoning Resolutions, NYC Plumbing Code, NYC Mechanical Code, NYC Fire Code, NYC Department of Buildings filing processes, and Accessibility/ADA code knowledge. 

*Experience in Interior Design is a plus.
