We are a multi-generational team of enthusiastic landscape architects, planners, urban designers, and support personnel. From our locations in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, we are dedicated to creating distinguished landscapes and urban designs worldwide.
We are seeking a Level 1 IT support technician to join our IT team in our Philadelphia studio. This is an on-site position, 4 days a week in the office is required, with 1 day of work from home. There will be occasions where on-site presence is required 5 days of the workweek.
Required Skills
General Office:
Cabling: Manage and troubleshoot office cabling needs.
Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve office hardware issues.
Network: Support for network connectivity issues and general troubleshooting.
Meeting Setup: Assist with office meeting setups including AV and IT support.
Resource Equipment (iPad/Loaners): Manage and support the use of loaner devices like iPads and other office equipment.
Keep IT supplies stocked and organized
Accept delivery of new equipment and verify integrity of equipment (unbox, power on).
IT Systems & Procedures:
Regularly update and document changes/updates to IT systems and procedures to ensure smooth operation and compliance with best practices in OLIN’s IT Support Portal, submit updates to Sr. System Administrator for review/approval.
Windows Active Directory Networking/Desktop Support
Provide desktop support for Windows 10 and 11 in an Active Directory environment
Under the direction of the Sr. System Administrator, assist with creation of new user accounts
Basic understanding of Windows Active Directory, user management, printer management, and group policy.
Apple Products Knowledge & Troubleshooting:
iPhone: Support, software issues, and hardware troubleshooting.
MacBook/iMac: Diagnostics, repairs, system maintenance, and macOS troubleshooting.
iOS: Expertise in mobile operating system updates, settings, and app support.
AV Equipment:
Ensure A/V equipment functioning properly in Conference rooms. A\V systems include the following responsibilities:
Assist in setup for meetings, configuration, troubleshooting display and connectivity issues when required
Microphones: Ensure maintenance, and perform troubleshooting when required
Cameras: Ensure operation, and perform troubleshooting for various camera systems when required
Video Conferencing: Support for video conference setups, audio-visual optimization, and connection troubleshooting when required.
Printers:
Paper Jams: Clear jams and maintain optimal operation.
Consumables Replacement: Manage replacement of toners, inks, and other consumables.
Supply Orders: Monitor and order printer supplies as needed.
Maintenance/Service Requests: Initiate and manage service requests for hardware malfunctions.
Troubleshoot and resolve printing errors
Laptops (General):
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve laptop issues (hardware and software).
Repair: Execute or coordinate repairs for laptop hardware.
Updates: Perform system updates and software patches.
Adapters: Ensure compatibility and provide support for necessary adapters.
Unbox New Laptops when required
Baseline education requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred
Prior information technology or systems administration experience preferred
IT/IS/MIS certificate programs
Years of experience: 1 - 3 yrs
Reports to Sr. System Administrator
Wish List/Pluses
Bachelor's Degree in IS/Network Administration
Strong Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
Experience in supporting a windows Active directory environment
Experience with supporting/working with AEC\Design Applications and workflows
