With our headquarters in Texas and a project team based in Manhattan, our properties are designed to immerse guests in natural environments while preserving and integrating seamlessly into the landscape. Our innovative approach to architecture emphasizes the design and construction of sustainable, low-footprint prefab panelized cabins, creating architecturally stunning and environmentally responsible spaces.

Position Overview:

Onera Holdings is seeking a licensed Project Architect with expertise in prefab and panelized construction methods. This remote position offers an opportunity to lead the architectural design for a variety of sustainable hospitality projects, working collaboratively with a dynamic and forward-thinking team. New York licensure is required, with preference for candidates also licensed in California and Utah. NCARB certification is essential for reciprocity in additional states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Onera Management to design the next generation of cutting-edge prefab cabins, aligning with our sustainability mission.

  • Partner with the Head of Construction to refine prefab panelized construction processes, focusing on sustainability and efficiency.

  • Coordinate with overseas manufacturing teams to ensure quality control and seamless production.

  • Develop site plans for 3 landscape hotel projects annually, collaborating with the Head of Construction for site approval and permitting.

  • Oversee civil engineering and specialized contractors, ensuring all projects meet Onera’s high standards for sustainability and quality.

  • Lead the production of architectural drawings, specifications, and permit-ready documents, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

  • Provide technical direction and quality control for all prefab and panelized architectural components.

Required Experience:

  • 3-7 years of architectural design experience with a focus on sustainable, low-impact prefab and panelized construction.

  • Active architectural licensure in New York (additional licensure in California and Utah is a plus).

  • Experience as Architect-of-Record on complex projects, overseeing all phases from design to construction administration.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software is preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of sustainable design principles and a commitment to integrating them into every project.

Key Strengths:

  • Self-driven and proactive, with strong initiative and independent working capabilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, while maintaining a clear vision of project objectives.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, especially in remote team environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, ensuring seamless stakeholder alignment.

  • Problem-solving mindset, with a focus on high-quality, on-time project delivery within budget.

Compensation:

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Location:

This is a remote position, though residency in New York is preferred. Flexibility for site visits and construction administration tasks is required.
