Scott Edwards Architecture is seeking an experienced Housing Project Architect to join our staff.

For the position of Project Architect we are seeking a candidate with strong design, document organization and production management skills in the mixed-use multi-family housing sector. We are seeing strong demand for multi-unit housing projects and are looking to build depth for our housing studios. In particular, we are looking for candidates with a proven ability to translate and develop an initial design concept into a cohesive set of construction documents suitable for bidding and plan review. Additionally, an ability to communicate professionally and effectively with our clients through all levels of development is essential.

Only resumes supporting the following qualifications and experience will be considered:

• Architectural degree from an accredited school
• 10+ years professional experience in design and construction document production.  Mixed-use, multi-family project experience is required. Affordable Housing experience and knowledge of complex detailing and midrise podium construction is also highly desired.
• Ability to manage and lead the internal production team of 3-5 people.
• Strong Revit skills are essential. Understand that we can train the candidate on SEA Revit production workflow, which generally follow industry standards.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to high quality design.
• Knowledge of building and zoning codes with experience in submitting and receiving approval for building permits in multiple jurisdictions.
• CA experience including review of contractor payment requests, schedules & change orders, attending regular site meetings, issuing site note, RFI responses, and shop drawing reviews.
