Warren Techentin Architecture [WTARCH] is looking for a talented, full-time designer with excellent design skills and with 8+ years of experience - a portion of which includes experience as a Project Architect and/or as a Project Manager with Housing and School experience. This is an opportunity to position yourself in a leadership role in making progressive, impactful buildings and spaces which are urbanistically engaged, environmentally conscious, and socially inclusive. Position available immediately.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Leadership ability and strong, positive interpersonal skills commensurate with running design teams and projects in construction.
• Excellent Design Skills and Graphic talent.
• Knowledge of local and state codes and the ability to permit projects.
• Understanding of building systems and construction techniques
• Experience with Affordable Housing a plus
• Experience with multifamily and mixed use projects
• Experience with theaters a plus
• Experience with fabrication a plus

Current WTARCH projects include 10 apartment buildings including ED-1, State Density Bonus, TOC, Co-Living, Live/Work and Affordable in Types III & V; in addition to 2 houses and an ADU. The applicant would be expected to help with ongoing projects in the office in addition to leading specific, new projects while also willing to join in collective office projects such as competitions, conceptual drawing projects, and experimentation with bent metal structures.

WTARCH is an award-winning, design-forward, multi-disciplinary firm located in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. We are a boutique firm of nine people with a diverse array of work affording you opportunities to work on a wide range of projects of varying scales. You will be working in every phase of the design process: from conceptulization through construction.

Salary commensurate with experience.
