Role Description

We are seeking a talented Project Designer in our Portland office with exceptional design and presentation skills.  Our small, integrated team is revolutionizing design by breaking down traditional silos between design and construction.

We utilize a 360º approach and modern methods of construction DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) to mitigate risk, increase project predictability and cost effectiveness for our clients.

We specialize in sustainable architectural design and modern methods of construction to create beautiful and efficient structures that enrich their communities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to generate design concepts with the team.

This position requires a strong working knowledge of Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite combined with excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills and the ability to work independently. Candidates should have experience working in a collaborative studio environment and demonstrate a highly creative process and critical thinking skills through their design portfolio. 

Qualifications

  • Architectural Design and Drawing
  • Experience in the preparation of drawings and renderings for design presentations and document sets in the Concept, Schematic, and Design Development phases.
  • Knowledge of urban planning and architecture
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
  • Professional Architectural License is a plus
  • Experience in sustainable design is a plus
  • Advanced digital modelling and rendering skills are required. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Enscape, VRAY or Twin motion, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Design Optimization with Grasshopper a plus, Revit proficiency required. We integrate with our partners manufacturing software, and are always looking to improve our processes for maximum efficiency, so we can focus on designing for innovation and sustainability.
  • RFP and Feasibility responses with Adobe Creative Suite and other software.
  • Professionalism in dealing with clients, consultants and vendors.
