Period Architecture is seeking a highly-motivated candidate to join our team as Project Architect in our Doylestown office. We are a medium size, custom, residential design firm with offices in Malvern and Doylestown, PA. We enjoy a collaborative and professional work atmosphere. Projects range in various styles and scales including new residences, additions, renovations, equestrian and agricultural buildings.
Job Overview:
The role of Project Architect is responsible for guiding the design and client experience from start to finish while collaborating with the Principals. This position must possess strong interpersonal and time management skills, along with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to architecture.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Survey existing structures.
Utilize AutoCAD to create plans, details, and elevations from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation based on firm standards.
Supervise and share knowledge with Intern and Junior Architects.
Manage communication with clients and partners throughout the design process and construction.
Visit designs in construction for construction observations.
Attend monthly Standards & Details meetings.
Contribute to Period’s development and growth through continued education and collaboration within the firm.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in architecture.
Bachelor’s degree in architecture required. Master’s degree preferred.
Architectural licensure is preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Substantial amount of experience in residential architecture.
Creative and passionate about traditional residential design.
Strong documentation, technical and project management skills
Ability to manage time and open communication with team members.
Inquisitive and motivated for continuous improvement.
