At our firm, the Architect IV has broad knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas and knowledge of principles and practices in related specialties. The professional in this role plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of complex projects. The professional in this role develops work plans to coincide milestones of a project and revisions when work plans need to be addressed and interacts with a project team and client to communicate the results of analysis and describe design concepts. 

The professional in this role estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts for complex projects. This position involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation and development of novel concepts and methods. Additionally, the Architect IV serves as the primary liaison content with clients to complete projects on schedule within budget and with maximum client satisfaction. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Registered Architect license required
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' professional experience required
  • Client interfacing experience required 
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills required
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to architecture
  • Ability to manage client budgets, schedules and programs
  • Writing, graphic, and verbal presentation skills are required, as are basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite required
  • Strong ability to work and lead in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn the company and client’s methods, standards, practices and procedures
