Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Construction Manager and Architect, the Construction Superintendent works collaboratively with the design, construction, development, and project team on a variety of custom designed commercial and residential projects in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, personable, and can communicate clearly and effectively with the ability to think from the design side in addition to the construction side. The Construction Superintendent is part of our construction team responsible for the successful completion of construction projects for Raleigh Enterprises and its affiliated entities. They will be tasked with the daily onsite supervision of subcontractors along with some staff and temps with the goal to keep construction jobs on schedule, on budget and per the approved construction documents, and will report to the construction team with daily reports, progress photos, and RFI’s from the subcontractors.

Supervisory Responsibilities
In coordination with the Construction and Project Manager, the Construction Superintendent supervises a combination of up to an average of thirty (30) subcontractors. regular staff, and temporary/agency staff.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training and coaching; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving issues; ensure that safety program and guidelines are implemented, and compliance is continuous.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Superintendent, or equivalent role, in the construction industry or equivalent combination of education (training/certifications) and experience is preferred. Must understand the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology.
Preference for the qualified candidate to possess experience from the design side in addition to hands-on construction experience with proven trade work in multiple disciplines.
Experience with typical construction site coordination tasks such as:
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, plans, documents, material specifications, financial reports, and legal documents (e.g., contracts). Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
