The Interior Architectural Designer will be responsible for developing interior finish schedules and producing interior design related construction documents for upscale luxury resort residences and commercial spaces. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create full interior design documents – including but not limited to plumbing fixture locations, dimensioned electrical outlet plans, reflected ceiling plans, flooring pattern and tile layouts, interior elevations, sections, and details for residential and commercial spaces.
  • Create finish schedules – including but not limited to door & hardware, paint, floor, countertop, cabinet, appliances, and plumbing.
  • Work closely with onsite construction managers to answer any interior design related questions and RFIs in order to ensure the designs are being correctly and accurately executed.
  • Assist with aesthetic interior assemblies and their dimensioned placement on site as necessary during installation period.
  • Review quotes, shop drawings (countertop, millwork, doors) and other materials as needed.
  • Space planning and developing custom floorplans based on Senior Designer/owner input.
  • Travel to Nassau, Bahamas periodically to perform project site visits, and as needed for FF&E installations

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Interior Design, BA, BS, or BFA (from a four-year Interior Design Curriculum).
  • Five years of upscale/luxury residential or commercial interior architectural design experience from published and/or recognized interior design firm(s) or architectural firm(s).
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe PhotoShop.
  • ADA Requirements; and review of Design Documents for compliance.
  • Reviews & Markups of floor plans, detailed millwork/casework Shop Drawings, Electrical Drawings and Lighting Plans.
  • Ability to time manage and be a team player in a very fast paced design environment.
  • Valid Passport required.
